We kindly request your loving thoughts and prayers as we honor the life and legacy of our beloved Matriarch Mrs. Virginia Sue McPhatter Wilkerson of Maxton, NC. who ascended to eternal peace on October 3, 2024 one day after joyfully celebrating  her 78th  birthday with family who loved her dearly. Virginia leaves to cherish her memories her Husband of 42 years, Ardis Dean Wilkerson of Maxton, NC; six children, Wanda Brown of Laurinburg, NC, Clarence McPhatter II (Lisa) of Laurinburg, NC, Shelia Adams (Alexis) of Laurinburg, NC, Anthony Wilkerson of Maxton, NC, Lakesha Wilkerson of Maxton, NC and Areian McPhatter (Candice) of Charlotte, NC; eleven grandchildren, Gary Malloy, Areian Adams, Brolyn Henry, Chantel Russell, RaShod Adams, DeMarco Davis, Kamonie Cureton, Jasmine Fairley, CeeCee McPhatter, Rafael Fairley, Gavin McPhatter, one sister Audrey Bridges of Laurinburg, NC and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends that she loved dearly. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 (1pm) at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Maxton, NC.  Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 (1pm-5pm) at McPhatter Funeral Home in Laurel Hill, NC.  Burial will follow the service at Hillside Memorial Park in Laurinburg, NC.
