It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. James Edward Monroe, 74, of Macon, GA, formerly of Laurel Hill, NC. He passed away on July 4, 2025, at his home in Georgia. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at Patterson Memorial Cemetery in Laurel Hill, NC. A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 10, at McPhatter Funeral Home 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or a donation to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund can be made.
